Disk Station Manager 2.2 includes complete RAID protection, easy storage expansion, and total data backup solutions. The features have gown more sophisticated, but the simplicity of Disk Station Manager remains the same.

RAID Management
In addition to the volume types without data protection (Basic, JBOD, and RAID 0), DSM 2.2 also supports RAID-protected volume types: RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 5+Spare, and RAID 6.
iSCSI Target
On DSM 2.2, designate a portion of the Disk Station volume space to be an iSCSI target and be managed by the iSCSI initiator.
